Services/Small Animal/Veterinary Nurse Clinics

Our team of Veterinary Nurses run clinics during the week and are trained to carry out many procedures and offer expert advice on all aspects of pet care along with supporting the veterinary surgeons and our clients.

They also run specialised free clinics such as weight, dental and puppy socialisation clinics. These will either be advertised on Facebook, referred to by a Vet or an invitation will be sent out to your puppy after its first vaccine.

If you wish to make an appointment to see a Veterinary Nurse, please contact the practice on 01856 872859 or book though our online booking system. Our nursing team is also happy to give advice over the phone.

Appointments with a nurse can be made for the following:

  • Nail clipping
  • Administering medication
  • Healthy weight clinics
  • Tick removal and parasite control advice
  • Dressing changes
  • Puppy and kitten clinics, including advice on purchasing (chat about breeds, costs, equipment, how to choose and what you need to know)
  • Dental health care and checks
  • Microchipping
  • Blood pressure and diabetes monitoring
  • Routine blood and urine samples/checks

Our veterinary nurses regularly attend courses to improve their knowledge and keep up to date with procedures. Some of our qualified veterinary nurses also hold, or are studying towards, additional qualifications.

Our Veterinary Nurse Karen specialises in pet behaviour, if you have any worries about your pet she is more than happy to give advice. To find out more, please read her ‘Behaviour‘ article

*Please note that although our nurses are able to give advice they are not allowed to diagnose medical problems, and may refer your pet to a vet, alternatively if you think that your pet is ill please make an appointment to see a Vet.
