Sarah Macrae

Sarah joined the Flett and Carmicheal admin team in May 2022. Growing up in Zululand in South Africa she has always been surrounded by animals. Her parents ran a small holding of Jersey cows, pigs and horses and she learnt the ropes of farm/livestock management from an early age.

After finishing a music degree, Sarah relocated to England and was a nanny for 7 years before joining North Dorset District Council as their Local Landcharges Registrar where she spent 15 years before moving to Orkney for love.

Sarah now lives just outside of Finstown on a farm and adores the wildness of Orkney and the welcome of Orcadians.
