Our team

Gemma is our relief veterinary nurse who now also works Saturdays for us. She has been with us since Summer 2009 but was also here on and off for 4 years previous on her placement from Napier University, where she studied Veterinary Nursing. She also worked in a local pet store before getting a job at Flett and Carmichael.

 

At work her interests include general nursing care and microscopy as well as caring for small furries.

At home she has a Border Collie named Sadie, 4 cats - Hermione, Pattie, Rosemary and Timothy Trousers, 2 goats - Nancy and Heidi, 2 sheep - Harriet and Milly, 6 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit - Percy, and fish, chickens, ducks and some very noisy guinea-fowl!

 

Her interests outside of work include yoga, cooking and bird watching.
Her favourite sweeties are chocolate raisins.
Her favourite TV programmes are Springwatch and Autumnwatch.
