Our team
Amanda Mowat
Amanda is one of our veterinary nurses and has been with the practice since 2003.
Previously she did a Veterinary Nursing Course at Barony College, Dumfries in 1999-2000. Then she did various jobs in Orkney as well as a Computing Course at Orkney College before getting a job with our practice, where she did her veterinary nurse training and is now a qualified nurse.
At work her areas of interest are dentistry, equine work and radiography.
At home she has 3 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Outside of Work
Her interests outside of work include horse riding, walking her dogs and being a mother to her sons.
Her favourite sweetie is chocolate.
Her favourite TV programmes are ‘Coronation Street', 'Come Dine With Me' and ‘Grand Designs'.
